WE are privlaged to host the Region 12 " Regional Convention and contest.
Juniors, Aircraft, Armor, Automotive, Figures, Space Sci-Fi, Ships, Miscellaneous and a new division just for TV Movies. 80+ Categories 1st, 2nd, 3rd awards.
Orangecon is the premier Southern California contest that features over 500 contest entries on average. Many vendors will be there as well.

IPMS Region 8 model contest with over 35 categories, 1,2,3rd place, best of class, best of show awards. Dual theme awards for "From a Picture" (model build referencing a photo or film cell) & "Musical Cars" (cars that have songs written about them). Kit, model & aviation collectable swap meet with over 60 vendor tables. Located at the San Diego Air & Space Museum Annex at Gillespie Field featuring historic aircraft, displays and restoration projects. Details can be found on the IPMS San Diego website.
Regional Model Contest
This is a traditional IPMS model contest
The contest starts at 9:00 am and ends aprox 4:00 to 4:30
IPMS judging rules with modified sweeps. A modeler can win no more than 2 places in any single category unless they are the only entrant.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase on site.
Discounts available for IPMS members with a membership card.
Vendor tables are available for $25.
The theme is red white and blue. Its the 250 year anniversary of our nation, any model in those colors or featuriing them in markings are eligible.
Over 100 tables for models, in 90 Judged categories, with 1st, 2nd & 3rd place awards and a Display Only area

ModelFest returns for 2026 as South Florida’s premier regional scale modeling event, bringing together builders, enthusiasts, and collectors from across the state and beyond. This free-to-the-public show, hosted by Flight 19 International Plastic Modelers Society, celebrates the artistry and craftsmanship of the scale modeling hobby.
Come compete with your own builds, learn new tips and techniques, explore incredible displays from talented hobbyists, shop unique finds from our vendors, and take part in our exciting raffle for a chance to win prizes from our sponsors.
Our contest spans a wide range of scale modeling categories, including dedicated youth divisions, and awards will be presented for Best in Show, People’s Choice, and the President’s Award, among others.
Whether you’re a seasoned modeler or simply curious about the hobby, ModelFest 2026 is the place to experience the passion, creativity, and community that make scale modeling thrive in South Florida.
2026's R-12 Regional Con will be produced and hosted by Eastern Carolina Plastic Modelers to celebrate America's Inspiration and innovation. The theme will be iconic American developments, such as the Model T and the USS Nautilus, SSN-571. This con will happen at the Havelock Tourist and Event Center, also home of the Museum of Marine Aviation, arguably one of the premier event locations in the state. This year we will also feature expanded Gundam and Meccha classes as well as our ever popular raffle and a grand line up of vendors. The Center will also provide onsite light fare for lunch at fair prices and there are two first class motels an easy stroll from the front door. Our past two events have also had active duty Marines on hand to aid vendors unload and pack back up at show's end. Our events have consistantly receive excellent reviews and we are striving to make this one the best yet.

IPMS Region VI Regional Convention
Come out on Friday to take part in hands-on classes taught by award-winning modelers or just hang out and talk shop with fellow enthusiasts. Class registrations can be found on the website. We encourage you to drop of your models on Friday evening. Then on Saturday, the competition kicks off with a wide variety of categories and a Gold, Silver, Bronze judging format that recognizes skill and craftsmanship across all experience levels.
Whether you’re a seasoned builder or just getting started, there’s something for everyone at ROCK-CON.
