NIMCON 13 Region 5 Regional Show and Contest

IPMS Lakes Region Scale Modelers are proud to be hosting 2025's Region 5 Contest, NIMCON 13. Show and contest will be held on Saturday June 14th, 2025 at VFW Post 4600   3002 IL-120 McHenry,  Illinois,  60051. The show theme is Pacific War 1941-1945. Judging will be Gold, Silver, Bronze and there will be best of and special awards. Wewill have 40 to 50 vendor tables to satisfy all of you shopping needs and one of the best raffles in Region 5.

We secured an addtional room at the VFW to expand the contest and vendor area and the they have a resturant for you dining convenience.

Charlotte Scale Modelers Region 12 Contest

This year's Region 12 contest will take place in Charlotte, NC.  With over 10000 square feet of display space/vendor area, lots of parking, and restaurants in the immediate area, this should prove to be a fantastic show.  Our theme is Victory as we prepare to celebrate Veterans Day and commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of WWII.  Details on hours for registration and vendors will be published in the upcoming Contest Flyer.

Seattle Spring Show 2025 - Region 7 Convention

Please join us for the 2025 Sping Show by IPMS Seattle.  This is the IPMS/USA Pacific Northwest Region 7 show.  

The Spring Show is one of the largest model contests in the US with 1,000 to 1,200 contest entries.  

Doors open at 09:00am

Contest registration closes at 12:00 noon

Awards at 3:30pm

There will be 90 vendor tables stacked high with kits, tools, paints, books, and accessories. Our raffle will be bigger than ever with hundreds of kits.

41st Annual Butch O'Hare Model Show

The 41st Annual Butch O'Hare Model Club Show and Swap Meet is scheduled for Saturday November 2, 2024.

This year's show will be the IPMS Region 5 Regional Show. 

We have a new location at Wheatland Salem United Methodist Church located at the corner of Book Road and 95th Street just east of Illinois Route 59. The new location is better ventilated, has better lighting and located closer to both food outlets and a bank with an operating ATM machine. 

Contest room will be closed from 1 pm to 2 pm for judging.

Note. That all models entered and judged at the 2024 IPMS Nationals are eligible for our show

Any Region 5 club is welcome to display a club banner.

Wonder-Con 2024

Model contest and swap meet. 48 catagories with trophies and 3 special awards for People's Choice, Best Muscle Car model 1964-1974 and Best Veitnam model 1964-1974. Held at and sponsored by the Murphy Auto Museum, 1930 Eastman Ave., Oxnard, CA. $10 admission covers entry to the museum and swap meet. Model contest entry fee is $5 for first model and $3 for each additional model. Maximum of 2 entries per catagory. Entries close promptly at noon for judging. 6 foot vendor tables are still available for $60/ea. Free parking at the museum and across the street. Taco & hot dog vendors, model kit raffles, and vintage, antique and muscle cars on display.

Central Arkansas Rock Con

This is a two day event.  Friday starting at 8 AM will be instructional classes given by leaders in the hobby.  These will Wrap up around 5 PM.  Set up and early model judging from 5 PM to 8PM.  Saturday is the Contest, doors open at 8 AM.  Registration ends at 12 PM.  Awards at 4 PM.
