Chile Con 4 IPMS Region 10 Convention and Model Contest

IPMS Albuquerque Scale Modelers Presents Chile Con 4, the 2017 Region 10 Convention and Model Contest.  

The contest will be held on 16-17 June, 2017 at the  Marriot Pyramid North Hotel, 5151 San Francisco NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico  USA.

The main themes of the contest are;  Star Wars 40th Anniversary, May the Fourth Be With You and First World War - 100th Anniversary.

Region 3 Regional.  This year's theme: Wings and Wheels. Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the U.S. Air Force and the 50th Anniversary of the Chevy Camaro.  Many other special awards.

2017 Region 12 Regional Convention and Show

In honor of the 50 year time frame from 1967, we will have separate theme awards for Best Vietnam subject, Best Summer of Love subject, and Best Pony Car subject.  Summer of Love subject is any peace loving machine, figure or diorama from the era - for example, aircraft transport, hospital ship, VW mircobus, hippie, etc.  Pony Car subject is any pony car from 1964-1967; this includes Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Corvair, Pontiac Firebird, Plymouth Barracuda, Rambler Marlin and AMC Javelin.   We also have a bonus theme: "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." (40 years of Star Wars) for the Best Star Wars subject.  Vendors and a sizeable raffle will also be part of the contest and show.
