IPMS Las Vegas Best of the West

This is our yearly IPMS Las Vegas event and vendor show at the Orleans Hotel and Casino (4500 W Tropicana Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89103).

53 contest categories, IPMS judging criteria, and lots of vendors. 

Adult Models entry is $15 first 2 & $2 each additional, Junior models (17 and under) FREE unlimited entries. General admission (non-contest) Adults & Family is $5 each, Children 12 and under are free. Active Duty Military & First Responders are Free.

OmaCon 2027

We look forward to seeing everyone March 20, 2027 at Hope Presbyterian Church for OmaCon. The church is a beautiful venue with lots of light and plenty of room. We'll have over 30 categories, lots of vendors, and the best raffle in the Region! Make the trip to Omaha to see for yourself.

Registration will be from 9 AM until Noon. We'll start judging at 12:30. The  Awards Presentation is at 3:00 and you'll on the road home before 4:00. OmaCon is on time and and on schedule. You can depend on it!

Our $15 Entry Fee includes Unlimited Models and Juniors are free.

Just want to look at great models and shop the vendors. General Admission is free! Just be sure to say hi.

Leavenworth Model Show

The annual model contest and show held in historic downtown Leavenworth, the first city in Kansas.  Hosted by the IPMS Prison City Modelers, the contest is held the first weekend in October, and this year's date is October 3, 2026.

There will be a raffle, vendor room, and the venue is within walking distance of museums and places to eat. The fort is the third oldest post in continuous operation in the US Army, and hosts the Frontier Army Museum dedicated to the history of the US Army in the west. There are hotels within walking distance of the contest, and a variety of shops close by. 

Doors open at 9:00 a.m. for registration which runs until noon.  Judging begins at 12:00 p.m. and the awards ceremony is at 3:00 p.m. sharp.  The special theme for the 2026 contest is "Land of the Rising Sun."  Any vehicle, person, or object from Japan is eligible for this category. 

Vendor’s tables are $10 each.  Set-up time begins at 8:00 a.m. on October 3, and you can pay at the registration desk when you arrive.  However, you must reserve your tables in advance.  Send an email to the contest chairman with the number of tables to reserve as the space does fill up.

RiverCon XVI - 2027

North Louisiana’s only Scale Model Competition hosted by the local IPMS Chapter, Red River Modelers (RRM).

The RRM is proud to announce their 2027 annual plastic scale model contest:  RiverCon XIV on March 13, 2027.

Our theme this year is “80th Anniversary of the U.S. Air Force” Anything USAF from September 1947 to present day (i.e. military vehicles, aircraft, boats, figures, etc.).

We will also have special awards for:

“The President’s Choice Award” will go the Best Model (as chosen by the RRM Club President.)

“Wings of the Mighty Eighth: Harold “Buck” Rigg Memorial Award” is anything related to the 8th Air Force from WWII to present and covering all aircraft to missiles.

“Bud Lindemann Car and Track Award” is car theme sponsored by Broadmoor Nails & Spa for any past, present and future. (all types, all scales, all eras).

“60th Anniversary of the Chevy Camaro" special car theme sponsored by Hope Contractors.   Any ’Vette” built from 1953 to present day. (all types, all scales).     

“Patton’s Cup” for any US Army or US made tank regardless of whose markings are on them, all sizes/all eras, except dioramas.

A People’s Choice Award given to an entry based on general public’s vote.

The Grand Master’s Category & Award.  We’ve created a special category for any model that has won the “Best of Class” award at any level whether local, regional National, or other modeling contest venue.  “Best of Class” meaning Best Aircraft, Best Auto, Best of Show, etc.  This category is not for those who won theme awards, special wards, or the individual category winners (typical 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place winners).  Models in this category are not eligible for any other show or contest awards; i.e. Theme, President’s Award, Best of Show, etc.  Must bring proof; i.e. trophy accompanying the entry.

  • 11:00 am: Pre-Judges Meeting
  • 11:55 am: Judges Meeting
  • 12 pm: Contest Registration ends

  • 3:30 pm: Award Ceremony

Chattanooga Modelcon 2027

   ModelCon 2027 will be bigger and better than ever! We are moving to a bigger room and the Convention center and moving to a new date not subject to the winter weather! The new dates are April 2nd, 3rd and 4th, more details tro come on model-con.comChattanooga Scale Modelers Modelcon

TigerCon 2026

TigerCon is held the first Saturday in November every year. Centrally located in Columbia, modelers from all parts of Region14 attend this contest and vendor show.

TigerCon awards 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for each model category, with judging following the IPMS rules and "no sweeps" per category. There are five additional awards for "Best in Class" groups, which are topped off with trophies for "Best of Show", "People's Choice", and the coveted "Truman Award".

TigerCon is open to all modelers. You do not need to be an IPMS member to enter. There is also a popular Non-Competition (presentation only) area available.

Throughout the event an ongoing raffle will award kits to attendees!

The event also features a growing number of vendors, so in addition to winning awards, you can stock up for your Winter modeling projects!

The event starts at 9:00am and ends approximately 4:30pm.
