BayCon is a model show and competition hosted by the Bay Colony Modelers Club. It is held each year in early November and is the last IPMS Region 1 model show of the year. The show has 37 categories which are judged under the traditional first, second, and third system, as well as 11 categories judged under the open system awarding gold, silver and bronze for the best subjects, allowing the level of work on display to determine the type of award given. Additionally, there are 15 special awards and challenges for individuals to compete in.
The show provides a separate vendor room, offering a variety of model kits, tools, & products for sale. Each hour between 11:00am and 3:00pm there is a raffle drawing of both traditional and special prizes. Of interest, Hank Gilbert from the Brews & Sprues modeling podcast is present to interact with patrons and share his modeling experiences. The Bunker Club's next plastic model show is Bunkermania 2026! This year's show will be at the Quality Inn and Suites in Indiana, Pa. We had the biggest show ever last year! We look forward to seeing all of you. We will crown our champion for best overall armor, automobile, and aircraft. Championship belts are on the line. Best overall in show will win a championship Bunkerclub Ring. We also will have special awards as well as Best of in all of the categories. See this years poster for categories and awards. We have 2 new categories this year, Gundam and Warhammer. We also added a new special award, best 1/16 scale model. We will have lots of vendors and raffle items as well. Vendor tables are only $30 if you are interested in having a table to sell some of your stash. Contact Troy Fritz before they are sold out. Vendor tables sell out quickly. Complimentary donuts and coffee will be available. Also, a concession stand will be available with various items. If you are interested in helping judge, please let me know at the show. We will have a judges meeting prior to starting. Discounted rooms will be available if you call Quality Inn and mention "Bunkermania". If you have any questions, please call or text me 724-599-4885.

Scale model contest and show. Our sponser is the Farifax High School PTSA All Night Grad Commitee. We have 179 vendor tables reserved for the show. We will use IPMS rules for judging. Contest and vendor registration forms, categories, directions, and rules are downloadable from our website. Start time on 18 April 2026. If all goes well (for example if we have enough judges - hint-hint) the awards ceremoney should begin at around 3:30-4:00. Food will be available during the show courtesy of the PTSA All Night Grads, to include roving carts all and especially for you vendors who naturally get a bit nervous leaving their tables to get food.
