 JAXCON 2025 IS LOCAL INVITATIONAL SHOW WITH A G-S-B "OPEN" STYLE OF CONTEST

Welcome to our inaugural Model Expo.  Scale Modelers of The VIllages welcomes everyone to a fun and eventful Contest and show.  This year we just happen to be on Easter Saturday, and we will a number of other events int the area.  Restarants are very close by as well as other shopping.  Vnedors, Raffle and lots of conversations about modleing.  Come and see us!  More details to follow on our Facebook page.

The 2025 Heartland Model Car Nationals will be the 33rd show put on by the KC Slammers Model Car Club based in Kansas City, KS. Our 2024 show had 637 models entered with over 95 entrants and 87 vendor tables with tons of model car kits, aftermarket parts, tools, etc. for sale. We have 28 separate classes and 15 Master Awards, including the Heartland Champion award. The Overland Park Convention Center, Overland Park, KS is a great venue with plenty of parking, nearby restaurants and lodging. We create a PowerPoint-based awards show with photos of the Class winning and Master Awards winning models along with the entrant's name and class sponsor. It is simply a great show put on by fellow car modelers and we even have a class called "Military (automotive related)…any non-track, automotive-style vehicle used by any military force from any nation." for our fellow military modelers. We're almost dead center in the middle of the U.S. Our 2025 theme is "Dad said “Noooooo!" Here’s the deal…Do you remember that first car that lit your fire that you could purchase with lawn mowing money? You had the money and you just needed Dad’s blessing…but DAD SAID NO! Build the model, tell us your sad story in a few sentences, place it by your model and bring it to the BEST Model Car Show in the Midwest. If you haven’t been to a Heartland Model Car Nationals you just haven’t been to the best model car show in the U.S. We work very hard to put this show on and it’s an “all-hands-on-deck” operation. We hope you’ll join us. YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED!

The show format is:

Day 1 (7 June) is for model registration only. The registration time is from 2:00pm until 7:00pm. Outside of those times only club members are permitted to stay as we judge the models from 7:00pm until judging is complete.

Day 2 (8 June) is the actual show with doors open at 9:00am with awards at 3:00pm. The show usually finishes ~ 4:00pm.
