TriCity Seventeen "The Sum Of All Fears"

We are pleased to host our 17th TriCity Classic for a third consecutive time at our newest venue, with another traditional “Movie/Geography pairing” Contest theme. This time out we are giving special attention to subjects from the USA, Egypt, Israel, Syria,Germany and anything tied into the 1973 Yom Kippor War, as our movie is the 2002 classic “The Sum Of All Fears”, based on 1991 novel by Tom Clancy of same title. OF COURSE this is not a limiter on entry subjects, ALL MODELS are encouraged and welcomed to enter, this is again, our theme to give the event some uniqueness. We will have already set up 67 categories (10 Junior, 57 Senior) for standard 1-2-3 place competition, with well received “challenge coin” trophies for them

There will be several theme based one time Special Awards of course, a few perennial favorite Specials (Twin Engine Lightning or Best US Fighter Aircraft for two examples) along with the fourth time offering the Juniors Only eligible Lester Tockerman Memorial Awards series “It Figures” which gives up to 3 cash awards for most entries by an entrant, most Armor and/or Figure entries by an entrant (must be present to win). We set a new record for entries last year with big help from 1st place winner of the Lester Award, she had 37 entries on her own behalf which won her 50 dollars to go with her two first place and 1 sweep.

LOTS OF FUN, VENDORS, TWO RAFFLES, a good number of eating places within short distance of venue, COME ON DOWN, help us build up a new record and rejoin old friends, make new ones at our “small but mighty” club annual event
