To all members of IPMS/USA, and the greater scale modeling hobby community:
Our President, Dave Lockhart, recently offered an editorial intended to emphasize the supportive partnership history of IPMS/USA within the hobby, to motivate scale modelers to consider the benefits offered by joining our organization, and to urge the membership to more fully participate in all that IPMS/USA has to offer. Unfortunately, his choice of words clearly missed the intent, and he offered a sincere apology upon realizing the mistake.

Some members have told us that the current PayPal and credit card payment process we use is confusing and hard to use. We heard you! Today, April 1, we are changing to an integrated credit card payment process that is faster, easier to use, and fully integrated with the membership system. You will be able to use your MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express card for membership and convention registration or trophy packages.
We think you will find the new payment process much friendlier! Of course, you can still pay by check or PayPal if you prefer. Checks should be made payable and mailed to: IPMS/USA, PO Box 1411, Riverview, FL 3568-1411. PayPal payments can be made by logging on to PayPal.com and making a payment to Treasurer@...

Recently there have been reports of emails with the Subject: Membership Suspension notice and the From beginning with File Sharing From... (a non-IPMS email address)
They are a phishing / scam attempt. Please delete them immediately and do not open the attachment.
This is a common practice and members should be wary of any 'official' IPMS/USA email that does not come from @myipmsusa.org or @ipmsusa.org email addresses. It is usually a good idea to check the From: in any email you do not recognise.
