One of IPMS/USA's goals in the next 6-12 months is to build more awareness of our society through the use of social media platforms. While we already have an active Facebook presence, the obvious first addition is YouTube. And the perfect entry into video content is to build awareness of the efforts of our IPMS/USA Reviewer Corps.
The IPMS Reviewers Corps' program was created back in the 90s. Reviews were originally printed in the IPMS Journal and every 2 months IPMS/USA would mail a bunch of hard copies of the magazine to our industry supporters. When the IPMS/USA website came on line, we started a Reviews site. Now, we're entering a new media stream thanks to the efforts of our Director of Social Media, aided by our first contributor, Reviewers Corp' member Paul Dunham.
Paul has created two video reviews:
Paul has been building models since he was a kid (with the usual early adulthood break for school, work, family, etc.). He builds a variety of subjects and also enjoys woodworking. He joined the Reviewer’s Corps when he attended the IPMS 2021 Nationals in Las Vegas.
We'd like to thank all of our industry friends who supply hundreds of kits, publications, aftermarket products, paint and tools to our review process. Hats off to the 100+ IPMS/USA National members who make up the Reviewers Corps. As we write this, one of our members is closing in on his 500th review!
Now that the IPMS/USA YouTube Channel is launched, we're also reaching out to all members who are YouTube Content Creators. We'd like to showcase content about IPMS local chapters, local and regional shows. We're also looking for people that want to highlight high level technique and skill. If you are interested in becoming an IPMS/USA content creator and showcasing IPMS/USA activities, events and talent, please reach out to us at dsm@ipmsusa.org.
Enjoy the content!
