Adult: $10 plus $1 per additional entry

Juniors 12-17 and sub juniors 12 or younger $5 for all entries

GTR 2018 NNL

The Summer NNL will be held on Sunday August 5th 2018 from 9:00AM to 2:00PM at the Algonquin Township Building, 3702 US Highway 14, Crystal Lake, Illinois 60014

Admission to the show is 10 bucks; you can enter unlimited models and we will serve a pizza lunch (again, no additional charge, soda extra;) to all show entrants. There will be a free “trunk sale” swap meet in our spacious parking lot, vendors and show goers are encouraged to open their trunks and sell-sell-sell rain or shine. Vendor set-up starts at 8:30AM.

Also we raffle off some nice prizes. Our NNL style contest bestows “Best Of” awards as mandated by popular vote as determined by show attendees, official judging and nit-picking is strictly forbidden, praise and admiration from fellow modelers strongly encouraged.

RiverCon VIII 2019

Main Theme: “Camelot to Woodstock: Those Groovy 60s”

Any subject from January 1st, 1960 to December 31st, 1969 (all scales, all sizes).

We’ll also have special awards for:

 “The President’s Choice Award” will go the Best Model (as chosen by the RRM Club President.)

 “Wings of the Mighty Eighth: Harold “Buck” Rigg Memorial Award” is anything related to the 8th Air Force from WWII to present and covering all aircraft to missiles.

“Bud Lindemann Car and Track Award” which is in refinement after its first unveiling last year but in general is for any car manufactured between 1964 to 1979 which covers the beginning of his sportscast in “Autoscope” to his last in “Car and Track”.

“Call of the Wild” special car theme award sponsored by Hope Contractors.  Any car with an animal name; e.g. Firebird, Ram, Barracuda, Mustang, Cobra, Super Bee, etc. 

“Patton’s Cup” for any US Army or US made tank regardless of whose markings are on them, all sizes/all eras, except dioramas.

Introducing the Grand Master’s Category and Award.  We’re creating a special category for any model that has won the “Best of Class” award at any level whether local, regional National, or other modeling contest venue.  “Best of Class” meaning Best Aircraft, Best Auto, Best of Show, etc.  This category is not for those who won theme awards, special wards, or the individual category winners (typical 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place winners).  Models in this category are not eligible for any other show or contest awards; i.e. Theme, President’s Award, Best of Show, etc.  Must bring proof; i.e. trophy accompanying the entry.

SLC XVIII

SLC XVIII is the Bi-Annual Contest and show sponsored by IPMS/Salt Lake City.  The main event will be a contest on Saturday, September 22 at the Gail Miller Conference Center within the MIller Campus of Salt Lake Community College.  There will be vendors avaliable as part of the show.  There will be 54 categories as part of 10 Classes of models.  There will also be Sponsor's Choice awards and Special Awards recognizing the best model in each Class.  This event also celebrates the 5oth anniversay of IPMS/Salt Lake City.

We will also enjoy a Friday night Banquet on Friday, September 21 where we will mingle together at Golden Corral and also have an auction involving several model kits donated to IPMS/Salt Lake City to spice up the choices available for modelers to bid for.
