The Silicon Valley Classic V

The fifth Silicon Vallley Classic open to modelers of all ages and skill levels. We offer 9 youth and 48 senior (18yrs and older) catagories covering everything from from land sea air and everything in between you can think of. And yes unfinished.

Throughout the day we will have two raffles at 11am & 2pm plus grand prizes of high dollar items after the 2pm raffle.  Vendors,high class food truck and a make'n take within the event.

IPMS Northern Virginia Modelers Model Classic 2018

One day show consisting of a contest, vendors, exhibitors, and programs consisting of techniques demonstrations and modeling related presentations.  Our host organization at Fairfax High School is the Fairfax High School Choral Patrons.  The choral members and their parents will be serving food and beverages during the show.  The choral will also sing the National Anthem at the opening ceremony, with The Young Marines providing the honor guard.

Directions:

The Anniston Meeting Center is located one block off Quintard Avenue (US Hwy 21) between Wilmer Ave and Noble Street Directly behind the Hotel Finial. Traveling south, turn right onto 17th Street. Look for the “Model Show” signs.

FEATURING:

SPECIAL AWARDS FOR THE BEST F-4 PHANTOM, BEST WORLD WAR I MODEL, BEST TUSKEGEE AIRMEN AIRCRAFT, AND USMC SUBJECT!

Special Award Criteria:

Any mark of F-4 Phantom (including the F-110A Wraith) is eligible to compete for the Best F-4 Phantom Award

Any aircraft, ship, tank, vehicle, figure, etc. depicting a historical model or scene from any nation involved in World War I dating from July 28, 1914 through November 11, 1918 is eligible to compete for the Best World War I subject award

Any aircraft flown by the Tuskegee Airmen from 1940 to 1949 is eligible to compete for the Best Tuskegee Airmen Aircraft award. These aircraft were the: Pt-17 Stearmen, T-6 Texan, P-39 Airacobra, P-47 Thunderbolt, P-40 Warhawk, B-25 Mitchell, and P-51 Mustang. Planes flown by former Tuskegee Airmen at later times such as Chappie James F-4 Phantom in Vietnam are not eligible for consideration for this award.

The criteria for the Best USMC subject is any aircraft, vehicle, or figure representing the United States Marine Corps from any era from 1775 to the present day.

As always, if your choice is esoteric, documentation is your best friend! (and the judges appreciate it too)

$20.00 EACH. RESEVATIONS OF MORE THAN 5 TABLES WILL BE CHARGED $20 FOR THE FIRST TABLE AND $15 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL TABLE.

Atlanta Con 2018

Annual model contest jointly sponsored by IPMS Atlanta and IPMS Marietta.  Last year we had over 400 entries and 85 vendor tables.  Make 'N Take for the kids.  This year we are Commemorating the Centennial Conclusion of WWI with special awards.

SuperCon 2017

The annual SuperCon will be held on Saturday, September 9th, 2017, at the Bob Duncan Center in Vandergriff Park - Arlington, Texas (same place as the past many years!).

Hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, with the following breakdown:

 

9:00am - 11:00am  Registration

1:00pm - 3:30pm  Judging (Model display area closed during this time)

3:30pm - 5:00pm  Awards - model area is reopened!

9:00am - 500pm  Vendor areas are open

 

11:00am - 3:00pm door prize drawings  :)

 

Entries:

Adults (15 years old and up):  $15.00 for three models, additional models are $2.00 each

Juniors (11 to 14 years old):  $5.00 for two models, additional models are $2.00 each

Children (up to 11 years old):  $3.00 for three models, additional models are $1.00 each

 

General Admission:  $5.00 per person.  Children 6 years old and younger are admitted free.

Capitol Classic 2017

ASMS Capitol Classic 2017. Presented by the Austin Scale Modelers Society. We have a new location this year: Travis County Exposition Center; 7311 Decker Lane, Austin, TX 78724.
