Old Dominion Open Model Show & Contest

In Region 2 there is no better way to start each model season than with the Old Dominion Open, affectionately known by most as the "ODO", located at the crossroads of Interstate 95 and 64, on the last Saturday of every February. Where almost 1000 modelers of all stripes and preferences come together for eight hours of fleating fun and glory. Come, and experience what the "art of scale modeling" is truly all about, almost 900 models, over 40 vendors and a world reknown raffle.

13th Annual Model Contest & Swap Meet

IPMS Gateway presents its 13th annual model contest and swap meet. Vendor setup begins at 7:30 am, and the show opens to the public at 9:00 am. Contest has 38 categories, including in juniors and out of the box, and ten "Best of" major category awards. Contest entries will be accepted from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The vendor room will have 30 or more vendors. Free children's Make & Take will take place from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Raffle to be held, with proceeds benefitting the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program in Metropolitan St. Louis.

Admission to the show only is $3.00 for adults and free for children ages 14 and under. Admission plus unlimited number of contest entries is $10.00 for adults and free for children ages 14 and under.

AutumnCon 2018

It is time again for the AutumnCon 2018 show.

Awards will include

  • Best USAF Aircraft
  • Best Junior
  • Best Dio
  • and the Theme award.

There will be raffle prizes to win and we will be doing the "$20 Full Pull" again so you can stock up on the tickets.  There will be vendors present with their items for sale so come by and say hi to everyone. As always the show is open to the public.

2018 Virginia Shootout

Scale Model Contest, Show and Contest with 72 Contest Catagories and 14 Special Awards.

There will also be 2 Retro Classes this year... Revell-Monogram 1/48 P-51 Mustang and the AMT 1/25 1966 Ford Mustang Hardtop. The Retro Classes will be out of box. Of course there will also be a huge raffle which is one of the best on the east coast.

BAYCON 2019

Our show has 35 categories covering everything from ships, automobiles, trucks, figures, si-fi, armor, aircraft, dioramas to flat art. There are categories for novice and junior entrants as well. There are 14 vendor tables there with plenty to buy.
