SYRCON is an annual show/contest that is held at the Americal Legion in Cicero, NY during October. The show features a well attended contest room where plastic scale modelers of all experience levels compete against each other for First, Second and Third place awards in sixty-four different categories as well as for fifteen special awards. In addition to the contest there is a robust vendor room the includes over thirty tables of vendors who offer new and gently used kits, supplies and aftermarket goodies at reasonable if not bargain prices. Everyone is welcome to enter the competition or simple walk in and enjoy the show for only modest entry fees.
We use merit based or open judging format, our theme this year is "The British Are Coming!"
On October. 20, 2018 @ Midway Baptist Church 5135 S Broadway, Wichita, KS 67216.
CAN/AM Con '19 continues the tradition of alternating between New York and Vermont venues with our joint show in a new and different Vermont venue, the Williston Armory. This year we'll also continue our tradition of presenting a show with 40 adult categories, plus junior categores as well. Our special awards should keep things interesting by recognizing the best Green Mountain State aircraft, armor, auto, ship and figure. We'll also have a special award for the best automotive entry from a discontinued brand (Plymouth, Edsel, MG, etc.) An additional award, "The Eagle has landed" will recognize the best US Mercury/Gemini/Apollo program entry.

The Baton Rouge Scale Modelers Club invites you to a scale model contest we affectionately call the "Cajun Modelfest" on Saturday October 27th, 2018 at the LSU Ag Center 4H Minifarm Building.
The best way to find our event is to use Google Maps or one of the many GPS locators and type in the wording “Parker Coliseum at LSU”. The Parker Coliseum has a parking lot where “Highland Road” intersects with “Stadium Drive” Parker Coliseum. Once you have parked within the parking lot, the building where the contest will be held is located south of the parking area.
There will a Raffle, Kid’s Make and Take, Lunch and Snacks for sale on-site.
Every year the “Baton Rouge Scale Modelers” club picks a contest theme. The plastic scale model that best depicts the theme will win the theme award. This year’s theme is “First Things First”. The more creative your model is towards the theme the better your chances are on winner the Theme award.
