Our 31st edition of Valleycon, featuring 31 classes of models, including two Gundam classes. Automotive and Aircraft models judged in the standard IPMS method, all other using the Open System. We had to move from out traditional date so we are presenting a single April Fools Award for the most creative model of a subject not based on a real prototype or subject from a movie, book, comic, etc. The more creative, the better.
CoMMiESFest is back for 2022. Our model show and competition will be held at a new venue this year, the Arapaho County Fairgrounds, on March 12th, 2022. The theme is "Orange", as in, Orange you glad we're having CoMMiESFest again? So get out your barely used jars of orange paint and get creative! Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/commiesfest for further details.

The 2022 Heartland Model Car Nationals will be the 30th consecutive (except for 2020) show put on by the KC Slammers Model Car Club based in Kansas City, KS. Ours is a model car show that averages between 450 and 500 models entered each year. We have 29 separate classes and 16 Master Awards, including the Heartland Champion award. In 2021 our Heartland show had 85 vendor tables sold with tons of kits, aftermarket parts, etc. The Overland Park Convention Center is a great venue with plenty of parking, nearby restaurants and lodging. We put together a PowerPoint awards show with photos of the class winners and Master Awards along with the entrant's name and class sponsor. It is simply a great show put on by fellow car modelers and we even have a class called "Military (automotive related)…any non-track, automotive-style vehicle used by any military force from any nation." for our fellow military modelers. You need to join us and, hey, we're almost dead center in the middle of our country. Our 2022 theme is "Droptop" which means If you can put it down, take it off, open it up, fold the top and stick it in the trunk…or if it’s a hard top with a retractable roof such as a ’59 Ford Sunliner or BMW Z4 you’ve got a “Drop Top” and you are THEME ELIGIBLE! See you there!
37th Annual Contest and Show. Theme Award: Fantastic Failures (picking up where we left off). Vendors, Raffles, Special Awards, Concessions. Registration 8-12, Awards 4 pm.
Theme for this year's show is Movie & TV Magic
IPMS Niagara Frontier, the BuffCon Boys, is proud to present our twice postponed BuffCon 37 Scale Model Show. Our Special Theme is "Seen Better Days, Worn and Weathered". You can use your imagination on this one!
We're at the same location as we've been for many years, with lots of parking available. We've also got lots of vendor space and expect to fill it again.
We have 75 categories including 5 for Bantams and Juniors. New this year are 6 Fantasy and Sci-Fi Gaming categories as well as 4 Gundam and Gunpla categories to accommodate these new and exciting facets of our hobby. Please note that we have dropped our usual Out of the Box categories.
Since we've all been spending more time building of the last year and more, we're anticipating a larger than usual volume of entries so we're limiting the number of entries to 5 per entrant. Bring your best stuff! Similarly, we're limiting the number of items in a Collection to 5.
The Show opens at 9:00AM with Registration closing at 1:00 PM. Judging is from 1:00 to 4:00PM with Awards at 4:00PM.
Food is available in the Vendor Room so you can shop, eat and shop some more.
All New York State COVID-19 regulations in effect will be enforced if we're not past the pandemic.
We're looking forward to seeing old and new faces and especially our Canadian friends. We've missed you all!
