On-site food and beverages provided by our venue host the Fairfax High School Choral Patrons. Make and take model for the youngsters. Guest displays to include small HO and Z guage model layouts, Legos, and the Washington Ship Model Society.

DownEastCon’s 2022 overall theme is Catch ‘22, a take-off on the novel Catch-22 by Joseph Heller and the year.
Just what does Catch ’22 “Anything Used in Sunny Italy” actually mean? It means, any WWII military equipment assigned to a unit that can be proven to have served in Italy, Sardinia, Corsica or surrounding waters supporting operations on these islands or the mainland – either Allied or Axis. In addition, this is ITALY!! For other design theme categories, anything Italian of any period would be acceptable. (Does anyone make a Sophia Loren figure, a Ferrari, or a Roman Catapult?)

IPMS Richmond is pleased to announce that the Old Dominion Open is returning Saturday, February 26, 2022, to the Richmond Raceway Complex, 600 East Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23222. The Old Dominion Open is the largest one-day scale modeling show and contest in the mid-Atlantic region. A large variety of vendors will be onsite and there are also ongoing prize drawings featuring model kits, tools and supplies. Our contest features many categories with an awards presentation concluding the event. Doors open at 8:30 AM; contest registration ends at noon.

After a year in lockdown -- WE ARE BACK!!!
After a year in lockdown, the Butch O'Hare Model Club is back in action. With a new location and a renewed vigor we are once again hosting our show.
SYRCON 33 in on for this fall!
Admission starts at 8:30 AM. More than 30 vendor tables, and Judging starts at noon.
We anticipate a high turnout, so there will be a limit of three entries per participant.
All applicable COVID-19 protocols will be in place.
Admission fees: General Admission $5, free if under 12; Model entries are $1 per model, free if under 18.
Awards: There will be a first second and third award for over 60 categories! Also, we have over a dozen Special Awards.
Attention Vendors: make reservations early, as we are expecting higher than normal demand.
