2023 ModelFest

2023 Modelfest will be held on Saturday, August 26 at Liberty Christian Fellowship Church, 1815 W Liberty Dr, Liberty, MO 64068.

This year's special theme is the "Lucky Number 7"; any model featuring the number 7 in the markings or on the build.

Registration will be open from 9:00am until noon, with awards at 3:00pm.

*Admission*

  * Adults (18+): $10.00 for the first 3 entries, $1.00 for each additional entry

  * Juniors (17 and under): free

  * Walk-in (not competing): $3.00 per person, kids under 12 are free

*Judging*

  * All categories will be judged according to IPMS rules

  * Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Best Of in each category

*Raffle*

  * Model kits from a vairiety of categories and subjects

  * Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5

*Vendors*

The IPMS/Fremont (OH) KitBashers chapter and the Toledo Plastic Modelers club are hosting their first model show in many years.  It will be held at the Quality Inn, Perrysburg, Ohio, on Saturday, April 20, 2024.  We are still in the planning stages, more information will follow.

HPMS "Fabulous at 50!" Model Show

In 1973, a gang of unsung heroes decided to formally charter their ragtag group of modeling renegades with the International Plastic Modelers' Society. And thus the Huntsville Scale Modelers Association was born.

And now in 2023, the Huntsville Plastic Modelers' Society celebrates 50 years of modeling with our next model show with the theme "Fabulous at 50!"

  • Special Category: Fabulous at 50! - Enter a kit first produced in 1973 or before as a Basic Kit Build! See the 2023 IPMS Nationals contest rules for details on the new Basic Kit Build rules.
  • Special Display Category: Survivors! - Bring your oldest model (one to an entrant please) to display! Display models are enter for free.
  • Categories for All Models: If you don't think it will fit, we'll make it fit!

IPMS-Gateway 2023 Model Show and Swap Meet

Gateway Chapter IPMS Presents 2023 Invitational Model Contest

            ST. LOUIS — The Gateway Chapter of the International Plastic Modelers’ Society (IPMS) will present its 17th annual model contest and swap meet on Saturday, September 9, 2023. The event will be held at the Afton Elk’s Club, 6330 Heege Road, St. Louis, MO 63123.

The show opens to the public at 9:00 a.m. and runs to approximately 3:00 p.m. Admission is $3.00 for adults and free to children ages 14 and under. Admission plus unlimited model registrations is $10 for adults and free for children ages 14 and under. Model registration and viewing are from 9:00 am to noon. The contest has 37 categories, including juniors and out of the box, and there will be 10 “Best of” awards. A special contest category celebrates “Versus”.  A free children’s Make & Take model building session will be held from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Additionally, hobby vendors, and a raffle of model kits and supplies.

PAMSCON

PAMSCON is the Central Florida premiere model show and contest. With last year's numbers of 100 contestants entering over 600 models and an extra 200 people coming through the front doors, this year is only going to be bigger.
