Dear Members,
I want to formally introduce the National Convention Steering Committee (NCSC). Formed under the 2nd Vice President, the committee will provide a continuity resource for the society and membership in support of the National Convention. The NCSC’s goal is to create and maintain an online resource and standardized process that increases convention bids and enables a seamless transition from year to year for clubs hosting the National Convention. The committee will serve as a mechanism for continuous improvement and capture convention best practices for implementation.

read more...Our IPMS/USA membership system now has a page for chapters who pay for memberships to use our online payment process. The page also works for Gift Memberships. Just follow the links to the MyIPMSUSA.org Membership Home page from the IPMSUSA.org site. In the top menu, use the drop down under Membership Home (in the blue bar) to select Gift or Chapter Paid Membership and follow the instructions there. You can submit payments for multiple memberships along with the names and IPMS number of your members. read more...Some members have expressed concern that they might have to join PayPal to pay online through our MyIPMSUSA.org membership and convention system. While we have used PayPal as a payment processor for many years, there is no need to be a PayPal member to make a credit or debit card payment online. Once you click the Pay Online button and arrive at the screen with the heading “Pay with PayPal", simply click the “Pay with Debit or Credit Card” button at the bottom of the page and you will be sent to the "PayPal Guest Checkout" screen. read more...Hard to believe, but it is election time again! 2023 is the year we hold our next IPMS/USA Executive Board elections. IPMS/USA National Officers serve two year terms. IPMS/USA welcomes all members meeting the requirements of our Constitution and By-Laws to submit a nomination petition. Nomination petitions are now being accepted for all elected officer positions (President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary, Historian/Publications Director, Recruitment/Retention Secretary, and Director of Local Chapters). read more...One of the first actions of business by the current Executive Board was to agree to provide complete transparency to the membership in our governance of the business of the Society. As a part of that effort, the Board commissioned a committee composed of Executive Board members to perform an extensive review of the current (2017) text of the IPMS/USA Constitution and By-Laws. The committee was tasked with proposing revisions to “clean-up and clarify” the existing text language, and to offer amendment proposals that more accurately reflect the Board’s understandings of a consensus of the membership that elected them.

I am pleased to announce that the new Director of Local Chapters is John Figueroa. John is originally from southern California. He was in the Navy for 20 years and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. His specialty was computer technology. While living in the DC area, he’s a past president of IPMS Northern Virginia. He now lives in Ft. Wayne, IN and is VP of the Roscoe Turner chapter as well as Regional Coordinator for RC 4. He brings a lot of leadership skills to IPMS/USA which will serve all well as the DLC.

Where you saw "ipmsu28.wildapricot.org" in the past you will now see "myipmsusa.org". All of the features of the site remain the same and are still supported by Wild Apricot. The are no changes at all to the site pages using the "ipmsusa.org" domain name.
