International Plastic Modelers' Society / USAInternational Plastic Modelers' Society / USAIPMS/USAIPMS/USAIPMS New Orleans hosts our 23rd Annual Contest as a Super-Invitational, where we've supersized the venue, model exhibition area, and vendor space. Also featured will be manufacturer's representatives and specialty vendors from all over the US and the UK. The event is on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Kenner, Louisiana (suburban New Orleans).
Contest with several Classes and Categories and Vendors. There will be several Sponsor's Choice awards as well. Theme is "Over There' to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of W. W. I.
MosquitoCon is one of the largest one-day model shows in the Northeast. 2017 will mark our 26th consecutive year of MosquitoCon. We normally have well over 500 model entries and over 100 vendor tables.
A 3 day event, sharing the art and skill of model building. We will be having on site members building models for the public to see and watch. We will also be hosting live classes and video presentations showing techniques and tips on what it takes to build models. The mall will host displays behind glass showing compleated models of all types through out the mall shops display windows. This event will be free to the public and we will also be hosting make and take events for the young and young at heart.
