IPMS Phoenix Modelers' Clinic

Our annual clinic, held in the main ballroom of the American Legion Post #1, is held to help local modelers learn about the hobby, see demonstrations of a wide range of techniques, and ask experienced modelers questions about all aspects of model building.  Come learn about figure painting, building aircraft, cars, armor, ships, and sci-fi subjects, decaling, making bases, and observe and participate in seminars on airbrushing.  Ask questions, Free to attend, includes a Make-N-Take for the children.

2017 Virginia Shootout

The 2017 Virginia Shootout hosted by the Roanoke Valley IPMS will have 71 categories (first, second and third in each) along with best of in each category, best in show and four special awards. Please check out our website to get a full description of the speical awards and how they will be chosen. The Virginia Shootout will also have several vendors along with a huge raffle taking place.   • 7:30 a.m.       Vendor Set-up                                    
  • 9:00 a.m.       Registration and Vendor Areas Open to General Public
  • 12:00 p.m.       Registration Closes, NO LATE ENTRANTS. Contest Judging Begins (contest area to remain open)
  • 3:00 p.m.       Approximate Time of Awards Presentation (shortly after judging ends)
  • 4:00 p.m.         Vendor Room Closed
  • 4:30 p.m.      Show Ends - Due to Contractual Obligations, the Show Facility must be empty by 5:00 p.m.
