ETR – Has been meeting with Eric Aitala regarding the website update and refreshing website content. Continuing to look at ways to support Junior Clubs and possible ‘template’ for other clubs to use. Has been working with the Nationals team regarding Facebook posts to keep Nationals in people’s feed.
PP – Categories and rules are finished and are ready for the Convention.
SH – Contest is coming together. Trophy sponsorships will start Feb. 20th. Tiger Meet and Vendor Room sponsors have been secured. 2026 Categories and Rules have been posted to the Convention website...

read more...On behalf of the International Plastic Modelers’ Society/USA, it is my distinct pleasure to announce the upcoming opening of registration for the 2026 National Convention at Fort Wayne, Indiana. Registration will open on March 1st at 10 AM CST.
On that date, we will activate the registration link on the 2026 Nationals Website.
Prior to March 1 visit the website for information under the Registration/Convention tab for costs of items, pictures, and tour information. For detailed information on Workshops visit the tab Workshops/Seminars on the website.

IPMS/USA is proud to partner again in 2026 with the family of the late Ralph Forehand to offer a scholarship program to IPMS/USA members, their children and grandchildren. For those who didn't know Ralph there are some details of his longstanding service to IPMS/USA and his life in the image below, as well as information about how to apply for the scholarship. This year there will be up to two $500 scholarships available, thanks to the generosity of the Forehand family. EA – Currently working on the logistics of creating a new website and migrating the data from the old site to the new one. ETR will work with EA on this process.
NKH – Continuing to assist members and chapters with logging into WA and assisting them with other issues that they request help with....
read more...Each year since 2023 IPMS/USA has surveyed the attendees at our National Convention to understand more about why members attend, what they like and don’t like, and how we can improve the convention experience. Here is the survey summary of the 2025 Hampton Virginia convention, put together by our new Data Manager, Nate Pollock. Nate was able to take data from each of the last three conventions to compare how members feel about their convention experience.
The first and most important learning is that our members overwhelmingly enjoy the convention experience, and if they attend once, they want to come back for more!
The 2025 convention was rated 4 or 5 (out of 5) by 96% of the responding members, something we can all be proud of as a Society. 78% said they plan to...

read more...Yarmouth Fire Chief Justin Myers loves talking about his granffather and his WW2 Experience on board an aircraft carrier. USS Princeton. Justin Myers knew that his friend and fellow firefighter Doug Kolkman likes to build models and asked Doug that if he ever sees the model kit to get it for him. It was found at Majors Art abd Hobby Center in Davenport, Iowa. Doug had an idea for a club project. Club member Tom Elshoff volunteered to build this kit as a winter project. It took Tom 108.25 hours to complete the build. It came with 23 fighter planes, 10 torpedo bombers, with flight deck tractors, crew members and various anti-aircarft guns. Myers grandfather earned three Bronze Stars and one Silver Star.The USS Princeton met an untimely demise on October 1944. The Myers' family...
