The convention team is still moving forward with planning for the 2020 convention. While we are well aware of all the social distancing and quarantine policies in place around the country these are temporary in nature and we are continuing with the assumption that by late July these will be restrictions will be lifted. The planning team will continue to track this issue closely.

We would like to announce a new scale modeling themed podcast, "Plastic Model Mojo".
Plastic Model Mojo is hosted by IPMS members Michael Baskette and David Knights, and is published roughly bi-weekly. Launched in January of 2020, Plastic Model Mojo has published eight episodes. As a result of the COVID-19 outbreak and due to the fact that all community buildings are closed in Monticello, Iowa until April 16, the Alexander Lippisch Chapter IPMS/USA has decided to cancel Fleacon 16 for this year.
Sorry, but because of the Latest Virus Updates. We must Cancel our Event for March 21.

IPMS/Champlain Valley is cancelling our CAN/AM Con '20 show and contest which was scheduled for April 25, 2020. Like most other cancellations this year, this decision was based on CDC guidance to cancel all events which would have been attended by 50 or more persons. We're hoping to slide this event to 2021, with further details to follow.
I’m pleased to tell you that the Executive Board has approved two initiatives aimed at active, retired and disabled service members. These are as follows:
ST. LOUIS — The Gateway Chapter of the International Plastic Modelers’ Society (IPMS) donated $500 to the 2019 United States Marine Corps Reserve (USMCR) Toys for Tots campaign in Metropolitan St. Louis. Club President Rick Keasey presented the donation to the USMCR last Tuesday, December 17.
