Heartland Model Car Nationals

The 2023 Heartland Model Car Nationals will be the 31st show put on by the KC Slammers Model Car Club based in Kansas City, KS. Ours is a model car show that averages between 450 and 500 models entered each year. We have 29 separate classes and 16 Master Awards, including the Heartland Champion award. In 2022 our Heartland show had some 85 vendor tables sold with tons of kits, aftermarket parts, etc. The Overland Park Convention Center is a great venue with plenty of parking, nearby restaurants and lodging. We put together a PowerPoint awards show with photos of the class winners and Master Awards along with the entrant's name and class sponsor. It is simply a great show put on by fellow car modelers and we even have a class called "Military (automotive related)…any non-track, automotive-style vehicle used by any military force from any nation." for our fellow military modelers. You need to join us and, hey, we're almost dead center in the middle of our country. Our 2023 theme is "Those Cars of the ‘70s" which means you can build any car, truck, van or motorcycle built in 1970 – 1979. GTOs, 442s, Choppers, Pacers, Hornets, Falcons…Stock, Kustom, Drag Racer, Road Racer or Low Rider! Build it as a WILD ‘70s car with a WILD paint job! Build it and Bring it! See you in Kansas City for the BEST Model Car Show in the Midwest!
