Pelicon 2025

The Pelikan Model Club is hosting our bi-yearly model show and contest Pelicon 2025 being held next year on April 26, 2025. We have a brand new venue with well over 7000 sq. ft. in the Grande Ballroom Higgins Hall at St. Lawrence Church in Tampa, Florida right next to Tampa International Airport. This show will be our biggest and best yet since we hosted the 2012 IPMS Nationals. Florida is known to put on some of the best shows in the country. Judging will be Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The theme, special awards, and itinerary are yet to be determined. Since we are a year out, details will follow.

Gateway Chapter IPMS Presents 2023 Invitational Model Contest

            ST. LOUIS — The Gateway Chapter of the International Plastic Modelers’ Society (IPMS) will present its 17th annual model contest and swap meet on Saturday, September 14, 2024. The event will be held at the Afton Elk’s Club, 6330 Heege Road, St. Louis, MO 63123.

The show opens to the public at 9:00 a.m. and runs to approximately 3:00 p.m. Admission is $5.00 for adults and free to children ages 14 and under. Admission plus unlimited model registrations is $10 for adults and free for children ages 14 and under. Model registration and viewing are from 9:00 am to noon. The contest has 37 categories, including juniors and out of the box, and there will be 10 “Best of” awards. A special contest category celebrates “Versus”.  A free children’s Make & Take model building session will be held from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Additionally, hobby vendors, and a raffle of model kits and supplies.

Our annual show and contest will be held on Saturday May 18th 2024 at the Town & Country Lutheran Church located at 4049 Marconi Ave. Sacramento CA. 95841

Theme: 1944 (any car, truck, plane, tank, ship, ect., made, took place in a famouse battle or event, ect., is eligible for the theme). 

Registration 9-Noon

Raffle: Noon 

ENTRY FEE:  Adults (18+) $8.00 for first two & $2 each additional entry.  Junior (7-17) $4 first two and $1 for each additional entry.  Children (6 & under) entrys are free.
