Each year since 2023 IPMS/USA has surveyed the attendees at our National Convention to understand more about why members attend, what they like and don’t like, and how we can improve the convention experience. Here is the survey summary of the 2025 Hampton Virginia convention, put together by our new Data Manager, Nate Pollock. Nate was able to take data from each of the last three conventions to compare how members feel about their convention experience.

The first and most important learning is that our members overwhelmingly enjoy the convention experience, and if they attend once, they want to come back for more!
The 2025 convention was rated 4 or 5 (out of 5) by 96% of the responding members, something we can all be proud of as a Society. 78% said they plan to attend the 2026 Convention in Fort Wayne, Indiana August 5-8. The Eboard looks forward to seeing everyone there!

No matter how successful a convention is, there is always room for improvement. Member comments from our previous surveys have led to changes like the Tiger Meet display area, Chapter Leadership Socials, bringing back Make n Take, and streamlining the awards ceremony. Based on member feedback we will continue to make changes to make the conventions easier to navigate, streamline convention and model registration, and provide more opportunities to gather with friends, old and new.
