IPMS/USA is proud to partner again in 2026 with the family of the late Ralph Forehand to offer a scholarship program to IPMS/USA members, their children and grandchildren. For those who didn't know Ralph there are some details of his longstanding service to IPMS/USA and his life in the image below, as well as information about how to apply for the scholarship. This year there will be up to two $500 scholarships available, thanks to the generosity of the Forehand family.
Each year since 2023 IPMS/USA has surveyed the attendees at our National Convention to understand more about why members attend, what they like and don’t like, and how we can improve the convention experience. Here is the survey summary of the 2025 Hampton Virginia convention, put together by our new Data Manager, Nate Pollock. Nate was able to take data from each of the last three conventions to compare how members feel about their convention experience.
I just wanted to post a brief update on the fact that IPMS/USA continues to provide two initiatives aimed at active, retired and disabled service members. These are as follows:
Disabled veterans – IPMS/USA will provide a free year’s membership to any disabled veteran of a US military branch in appreciation for their sacrifices in support of our country.

1st Vice President – David Morissette
2nd Vice President – Scott Hackney
Secretary – Joe Terry
Director of Local Chapters – Bob Delaney
Historian/Publications Director – Chris Bucholtz

IPMS/USA Members,
As I write this, we are about halfway through the 60th year of IPMS/USA, and there are several ways we are celebrating.
IPMS/USA holds Executive Board elections every two years. The Eboard wants to be sure that anyone interested in running for office is fully informed as to what is expected of each officer. We also want our members to know what the candidates for the Eboard plan to do for the Society if elected, as well as why the candidate feels they are qualified to serve as an Eboard member. Here are some pointers on how to get on the ballot, what each officer position does, how much of your time it will take to do each job, and what the members need to know to vote for you.
