International Plastic Modelers' Society / USAInternational Plastic Modelers' Society / USAIPMS/USAIPMS/USAEvery year the Knoxville Scale Modelers Association (KSMA) hosts a public exhibition and contest of scale models including armor, aircraft, dioramas, ships, trucks and cars, as well as figures from sci-fi, fantasy, literature, and history.
On Saturday, June 1, IPMS San Diego and the San Diego Model Car Club in collaboration with the San Diego Air and Space Museum will host the 2019 San Diego Model Expo at the San Diego Air and Space Museum annex on the north side of Gillespie Field (335 Kenney St, El Cajon, CA 92020). There will be a vendor area, a model contest, a raffle and more!

Special Awards
The best Stearman in 1.48 scale will win a ride in a stearman owned and floen by Steve McQueen!
Surgicon 26 will take place Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Highland Park
Christian Church, 4260 NW 6th Dr., Des Moines, IA 50313, and features many
special awards as well as a theme award along with both a raffle and Super
raffle. All Juniors enter free.
Registration is from 9 A.M. - noon. Parking is handy and free. Food will

Model show and contest.
Due to the current pandemic this year's Blue Angel's Model Fest has been posponted to next year.
We will be having a swap meet on Nov 7th in the field next to John Struck's shop: Johns Models
The Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum (FHCAM) has invited modelers from the Seattle IPMS club to come out and occupy 8 tables they have set up for us. The modelers will be working on projects and interacting with the public who are attending the event. This is one of many such events held each year at the museum, which shares a runway at Paine Field.
The annual Showdown is a traditional judged contest. We award 1, 2 and 3rd place for each of the 21 catagories. In addition we have Master awards for Best Paint, Best Interior, Best Engine Compartment, Best Chassis Detail and Floyd Bryant Best of Show award. Also we have the Bob Barnett award for Best 50's style custom.
Common Kit Theme for the Showdown is the Revell 1968 Chevelle SS396. Any Version is ok.
Vendor Tables are 8 Foot and are available for $35 each.
