Our Contest is held at the Reno, Elks Lodge, #597, just blocks away from gaming, shopping, great food and super hotels.  In fact the Atlantis and The Peppermill are within walking distance.  What more could a Modeler (or Modelers Wife) ask for.

We hope you will take the opportunity to attend this Years event as we have had many very positive comments on our new contest venue.  Reno offers so many things to do that this is easily a family outing and not just a Modelers weekend.

On Sunday, October 20, 2024, IPMS Syracuse presents SyrCon 36, our 36th Annual Model Show and Contest.

We welcome all modelers of all ages form all over Central New York and Canada.  We have 64 categories plus special awards covering all model building genres.

We normally have about 250 entries and 30 plus vendor tables and a huge raffle table.  This year, we have three special raffles with big ticket items, along with other special raffles as well.

We open at 8:30AM with registration closing at noon.  We start judging at noon and awards follow.

Lunch is available on site.

Gateway Chapter IPMS Presents 2023 Invitational Model Contest

            ST. LOUIS — The Gateway Chapter of the International Plastic Modelers’ Society (IPMS) will present its 17th annual model contest and swap meet on Saturday, September 14, 2024. The event will be held at the Afton Elk’s Club, 6330 Heege Road, St. Louis, MO 63123.

The show opens to the public at 9:00 a.m. and runs to approximately 3:00 p.m. Admission is $5.00 for adults and free to children ages 14 and under. Admission plus unlimited model registrations is $10 for adults and free for children ages 14 and under. Model registration and viewing are from 9:00 am to noon. The contest has 37 categories, including juniors and out of the box, and there will be 10 “Best of” awards. A special contest category celebrates “Versus”.  A free children’s Make & Take model building session will be held from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Additionally, hobby vendors, and a raffle of model kits and supplies.
