Fresno Scale Modelers is proud to host the 2027 Region IX Convention Sprue Bowl III in conjunction with the Castle Air Museum to kick off the 2027 R9 contest season. For the first time, we will have early registration and setup for vendors the day before along with a special restoration hanger tour later that evening at the museum. This years theme celebrates the 80th Anniversary of the US Air Force in addition to the 50th Anniversary of Star Wars and American Muscle Cars. Since we have returned to the tradition of hosting our show the weekend before the Superbowl, we have brought back the "the Griffin Lombardi" trophy for the best model with NFL Team name association (ex. Panther Tank, F-15 Eagle).  We will also have guest speakers and modeling seminars in addition to unique vendors that are in the area.
