The IPMS Columbus Chapter was named in honor of Columbus, Ohio native Eddie Rickenbacker, the United States’ ranking ace in World War I. Chartered in 1965, IPMS Columbus is a strong, active chapter which hosted the 1973 National Convention, and numerous Region 4 Regionals. Most recently we hosted the 1997 IPMS National Convention, the 2000 Region 4 Convention, the 2009 IPMS National Convention, and the 2015 National Convention.

We have approximately 50 members, with widely ranging interests and skills, and we welcome new members.

We enjoy all aspects of scale modeling, and invite anyone to join us at our monthly meetings, where we exchange modeling tips, information, kit reviews, and general fellowship.
