Eboard & Staff Quarterly Meeting

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order on January 18thth, 2025 at 7:00-ish pm EST by John Noack.

Roundtable/Action Item Updates:

EA – Currently working on the logistics of creating a new website and migrating the data from the old site to the new one. ETR will work with EA on this process.

NKH – Continuing to assist members and chapters with logging into WA and assisting them with other issues that they request help with. Training a backup for the Office Manager functions that is serving as an Assistant Office Manager. Continues to send out journal issues and membership cards as requested. As Event Manager, has prepared the 2026 vendor event. Continues to work with Ft. Wayne on the 2026 Convention and attends zoom meetings with them twice a month.

NP – Reviewed the data from the 2025 Convention Survey results. The information was well received by the board and feedback was noted for review and possible implementation. The board was in agreement that in the future the survey needs to be issued closer to the end of the convention for better feedback.

PP – Final categories and rules have been submitted for review and approval.

DM – Things going well, just short of 11,000 reviews online, 376 reviews posted in 2025. Continuing to work on contacts and updates. Planning the Manufacturer Appreciation dinner.

SH – Registration cost for convention will remain the same as 2025. Categories and rules for 2026 have been completed. Trophy sponsorships will start on 20 February and pre-registration should begin 1 March. Continuing to work additional sponsors for the convention and also working with Huntsville already for the 2027 convention.

DL – Has been going well in the short time since he stepped in as DLC. Met with 7 of the 14 RC’s via zoom already and is following up with the rest. Has been working on COI requests and planning to work with RC’s on getting awards submitted and making sure all the chapters get their charters renewed.

DK – Has been working with chapters holding contests to reinstate the discount for IPMS/USA members at their local contests and shows.

JT – Continues to field inquiries received via the contact form. Has not been able to work on the SIG project due to other demands.

ETR – Has been looking at junior modeler programs and how we can support them. The Facebook group continues to do well and happy with the current moderation team. Has been communicating with Ft. Wayne about promoting things through posts on the convention Facebook group. YouTube has a couple more videos up and goal is to try and get more regional content uploaded. Posting twice a week now on our X and BlueSky accounts.

CB – Having regular working meetings with journal staff. Continues to work with the staff on a style guide to help streamline things across the whole journal. The 2026 Calendar addition to the latest journal has been very positively received and the journal continues to get compliments.

The next meeting is scheduled for February 15th, 2026 at 7pm EST via Zoom.
