ModelGeek's Podcast
Hey Modelers! Welcome to the ModelGeeks Podcast, a place where we talk about anything and everything relating to scale models. Sit back and buckle up for an exciting journey into the world of scale modeling. It doesn’t matter whether you’re new to the hobby, been around since Moses, or that you build aircraft, armor, ships, or automobiles. We hope to have a little bit for each of you.
Our format is simple; modeling news you can use with a few tips and techniques, some lighthearted banter (maybe a beer or two...) and most importantly, interaction with you, the listener! Please feel free to drop us an email at: contact@modelgeekspodcast.com and weigh in on whatever our show topic is. You can also find us on the ModelGeeks Facebook Page or our website: www.modelgeekspodcast.com.
In closing, thanks to all the ModelGeeks out there! This podcast wouldn't exist without the tremendous support we have received from all the Geeks! We really hope that you will download and make us a regular part of your modeling bench sessions. As we always say... be excellent to each other and by all means, get out there and build something!

MGPC Ep.121 "Basics on Applyling Washes"
Greetings my fellow ModelGeeks, and welcome to the MGPC Episode 121! Nemo is your HAC for this episode, with a full house! We chat about the latest and greatest in everyone's model world and get caught up with what's happening in the hobby.
The mail bag was overflowing with over 20 emails, which is amazing! We really appreciate the emails and love hearing from you all. Also, thanks again for the listener gallery submissions. Please keep the emails and gallery pics coming and we can't wait to see your work, discuss them on the podcast, and present them on our website.
For the main topic, we discuss the basics of mixing, applying, and removing washes. We have to thank Nemo for the topic, since he goofed up using the Red Cap Ronsonol which stripped the Gunze Aqueous and Tamiya acrylic paint. Rudy and LionHeart to the rescue!! We discuss different types of washes, including our preferred methods of mixing, applying, and removing them. It's a great topic so we hope you all give it a listen.

MGPC Episode 120 - "Is Modeling Fun??"
Welcome to Episode 120 of The Modelgeeks Podcast!
In this episode we ask the simple question, “Is Modeling Fun??”. We often discuss the hobby in terms of it sounding like “work”, or that it is a chore, and leads to stress vice enjoyment. That’s not how it should be!
El Presidenté is vacationing so, with guest host Rob Riviezzo (aka Rob Riv), of “The Modeling Insanity” podcast, we tackle that question and more. We’ll also cover what we all have happening in our “Model World”, what each of us has been up to at our benches, and other aspects of the hobby we all try to enjoy!
Share your work with us and the rest of the scale modeling community through our web page, or through our Facebook community page. We love seeing other people’s work. Who knows who you may inspire through your latest masterpiece!

MGPC Episode 119 - Photographing your models
Welcome to Episode 119 of The Modelgeeks Podcast! We have a special guest tonight!
Jeremy Moore is joining us as a guest host and to help us with our model photography.
After a bit of banter, we share what is on our bench and what we have picked up lately. After we mention our March Madness projects we cover Mail Call (keep the cards & letters coming folks!). Don’t forget Listener Spotlight. We then do a recap of the Old Dominion Open (Richmond IPMS) and then roll into a recap of future shows.
Our Patreon Giveaway has expanded! We have added a second giveaway for our non-Pro Geek patrons.
Our main topic is “Photographing Scale Models” with Jeremy Moore. Jeremy takes magazine quality photos of his models as can be seen on his web page and in the various modeling magazines his work where his work is published. Even on the front cover!
We would like to thank all our listeners out there for the continued support you have given the show. We hope to see you out and about as we hit show circuit. If you happen to see us at a show come on over and say hello, we may even put you in front of the mic!
If you can't make it to the shows then you can still interact with us through social media, Facebook, Instagram, and of course email at:
Also remember to surf over to the Geeks homepage at https://modelgeekspodcast.com. Take a look at the Listener Gallery, and if you’d like your work there, send us your photos to contact@modelgeekspodcast.com.
