MVS- Working on cleaning up the spreadsheets of addresses before sending to spectra print for billing. 5,080 total journals are going out for the Nov/Dec issue. 4,790 mailed within the USA, 78 to foreign addresses, and 212 are being sent with expiration notice. Should be mailing out pins this coming week now that envelopes and labels have been handled. Has also been helping members take advantage of the 60th anniversary membership option.
EA- 2025 National Convention site is up and running. Will get Bob Delaney’s info posted to the website and will forward the DLC email to Bob and get him admin access as needed for his position. MO will get him access to DropBox and WA. Need to get Marie access to the Network Solutions account.
NKH (Report given by SH)- Pre-registration opens on 1 March, tours will not be included and will have to be registered for later due to ongoing logistical planning issues concerning military base access.
PP- Is working on the State of the Society address to the members. A fake email is being sent out using Phil Petersons name in an attempt to scam members. A message informing the members of this scam will be sent out and posted to our social media accounts. The Ralph Forehand scholarship is going again this year, check has been received by MVS already and will be awarding to three people this year.
JN- Received contacts for new potential review suppliers and is back on the Hobby Merchandiser mailing list.
SH- 2024 After Action Report has been received and reviewed, Eboard voted unanimously to approve the report as written. MO will send the check to Mad City Modelers. 2025 categories finalized and will be published soon. 2025 General Rules are being drafted and Class Specific will follow. Dick Engar has been a great help with drafting the rules. Currently can’t setup the convention center until 6am Wednesday, will work to see if Tuesday can be booked to facilitate being setup by the time needed.
PhP- Review the requirements for naming awards. Action Item: Consult head judges and write a proposal regarding award names assigned to PhP.
JF- 190 of 216 chapters have re-chartered so far. Working on getting nominations for regional awards. MO and JF will be conducting interviews for the Data Manager volunteer position. JF announced his resignation from the board effective today in order to prepare for the 2026 National Convention. The board voted unanimously to appoint Bob Delaney as the interim DLC.
RA- Work is ongoing with the Journal, everything is running smoothly at the moment. The journal is always looking for articles and content.
MO- Will be paying out the 2024 convention payment. Elections coming up and we need to be notifying members of who is running and how to vote.
DK- 2025 contest season is beginning and reaching out to encourage regions to promote national membership. Would like access to the IPMS/USA X account to promote contests once the account issues are worked out.
ETR- Working on correcting the X account technical issues. Facebook account is going really well and is a great resource for the Society. The Nationals Facebook account has to have more regular updates in order to keep the posts visible to people in the group. Still having a hard time finding contributors for the YouTube channel.
JT – Will begin working on getting election information consolidated and messages drafted for dissemination.
