Just the other morning I opened the mailbox to find a veritable plethora of Panther decals to go with the new Trumpeter/Hobby Craft (they are the same kit) release in 1/48th scale. F9F-2s - 3 aircraft in USN markings, "Paper Doll" VF-781 and "Papasan" VF-71 both of the Bob Homme Richard and an F9F-3, Lt J.G. Len Plog (1st Navy Jet Kill) VF-51 off the Valley Forge. Sheet: YHD48038     MSRP: $ 10.99 F9F-2 - 2 Marine aircraft, "Jet Cats", the most Panther missions (with all the markers) and "Panther Face" both of VMF 311, and the 1949 Blue Angels flight demo team, aircraft #1 flown by LCDR "Dusty" Rhodes. Sheet: YHD48039     MSRP: $ 10.99 F9F-2 and XFPF - First, a Gull Grey over white Pensacola Panther with bright red candy-striped fuselage and tip tanks circa 1956. Also there are three schemes for the XFPF-2 and two schemes for the dash 3. Note that a set of pre-cut Black Magic Masks are included to make the striping job much easier.
