This Big Ed detail set (Set No. BIG3552) actually bundles three different Eduard detail sets into a single package. Those individual sets are: Set No. 36020: Pz. 38(t) Ausf. G Interior Set No. 36021: Pz. 38(t) Ausf. G Exterior Set No. 36022: Pz. 38(t) Ausf. G Ammo Boxes This entire set is intended for use with Dragon's Pz.Kpfw. 38(t) Ausf. G w/ Interior Smart Kit (Kit No. 6290)

The set includes six brass sheets consisting of several hundred parts and one clear plastic sheet for interior dials. This was my first go at a large, dedicated detail set and I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised by the fact that there was almost no redundancy between the parts included on Eduard's brass sheets and the parts on the photo-etched fret included with the kit.

Overall, the assembly of the detail components was very straightforward with very little modification of existing kit parts. The instructions are also very clear and easy to follow. This is a great first set to follow as it has plenty of detail, fits well and looks great.

For someone who has not much experience with larger photo etched parts, I would definitely suggest a bending tool as it will be of great use for bending the fenders -- though make certain that BEFORE you bend and shape the fenders that you scribe in the raised reinforcement ridges on the fender parts. It is also important to note that the detail parts don't just include the fenders but the entire fender hanging brackets as well.

Overall, this set is a wonderful complement to Dragon's Panzer 38(t) Smart Kit - the included interior details, ammo boxes, and fender/exterior details bring an added level of realism to an already great kit. Many thanks to Eduard and IPMS-USA for the opportunity to review this detail set!
