MSRP: $12.95 Distributed by Stevens International: www.stevenshobby.com If you build armor models, the name Bronco is definitely not new. They produce some really nice model kits and great aftermarket hop-up sets. They make an excellent line of 1/35 nuts-and-bolt sets. Bronco makes six different types of nuts-and-bolts set. This particular one is going to be used on a Hummel’s ammunition storage boxes. These are far better detailed and of the correct style used on the Hummel. Dragon’s aren’t even a close second. These one-sided wing nuts are used to keep the restraining bars locked over the ammunition until it is needed. The set consists of three sprues of plastic. There are 18 wing nuts on each sprue making for a total of 54 wing nuts to use. I thought I was in good shape because I was only going to use 14. I ended up using a whole sprue because I lost four to the dang carpet monster. These nuts came right off their attachment points with minimal cleaning. However, I think I need to find a better pair of tweezers because that was where they got lost. I grabbed and went to apply and dropped the four that are still MIA. I am sure the remaining 36 will come in handy on some future projects. I would like to thank Bronco Models for producing this excellent set and IPMS/USA for having the space for others to see the review and make an informative decision on if this is something they might like to purchase. |
