I have seen ads and reviews for this company for a while but this is my first experience with their decals. I chose to review this sheet because it has some unusual markings I hadn't seen before.

It features nose art, kill markings, and color bands for four aircraft and two sets of national insignia that served in the Southwest Pacific during World War II. The printing is colorful with only one very slight misalignment in registry. There are profiles for the four aircraft but there is no top and/or bottom view, and a color code of sorts to advise you of the colors to use. Also the decals are not numbered so paying close attention is imperative.

[review image] Having never used Zotz decals before I did a quick build of one of the old AMT kits in my stash, even though the instructions suggest Hasegawa and Eduard kits. The toughest piece to fit was the shark's mouth. I had the make a few minor cuts to get a good fit but in the end it came out fine. I used the Micro Scale system to apply the decals but had to resort to some Champ decal solvent to get the decals to really snuggle into the plastic.

In the end I can heartily recommend these decals to all modelers, especially the moderately advanced.

Thanks to ZOTZ decals for providing the decal for the IPMS Reviewer Corps. for review.
