Prior to painting ( read kit review ), I applied Eduard masks made for this kit. Eduard's mask sheet is the Tamiya type yellow tape that comes off the backing sheet easily and adheres well. The sheet includes masks for all of the camera configurations, as well as the two different types of main wheels. The fit was hit or miss, and some masks were conspicuously missing. There are masks for one side only of the wing tip lights and nose wheels. The wing tip light masks were too small, as are all of the masks for the camera bay windows. The masks for the canopy and windscreen are perfect. The canopy requires filling in a small area with liquid mask or tape. I opted for Tamiya tape. There is no mask for the small clear window on the nose. And, lastly, the wheel hub masks for the main tires are too big. I used them anyway, and touched up with a small brush. In the end they looked fine. The masks are easy to apply and can be left on for a long period of time without any difficulty removing them or any glue residue left behind.

My thanks to Eduard for the mask set, which made things a lot easier.
