Like the aircraft from the movie these beautiful new decals from a new company, Bombshell Decals, have some eye catching nose art. What do you do if nobody makes the decals that you want? Many would just sit back and not do anything. IPMS member Michael Kloppenburg took a different route, he designed his own set of decals. This is easy for him because he is a graphic designer. With a graphics designer who is a model builder you know that the attention to detail is excellent. Michael had the decals printed by Cartograf so you know the quality of the printing is excellent. My decals were perfectly in register and had vibrant colors. Slightly smaller than half an A4 sheet the decals are perfect. They will react well with any setting solution. I've used both Solvaset, Mr Mark Softener and Microscale products on Cartograf decals without a problem. They all worked well. With this set you get decals to do two different aircraft. On my example I got the B-25s Solid Jackson and Miss Rebel. Both aircraft are from the 489th Bomb Squadron, 340th Bomb Group, Miss Rebel was painted British Green over Neutral Gray. Solid Jackson is finished in OD over Neutral Grey. The women depicted in the nose art are some of the best I've ever seen. They are easily as good as anything else on the market. There are some stencils but not a complete aircraft, but that is what the kit decals are for. US Insignia are included for one aircraft. The instructions are printed on high quality paper in full color. There is a photo of each aircraft, as well as, the full color artist drawings. The drawings are beautifully rendered and really inspirational. It is a great total package, especially since this is Michael's first outing in the decal world.
