[review image] This sheet of markings is for a Turkish F-4. I used the 1/72 scale decals on a Hasegawa F-4E for this review. Turkey is one of the prominent Phantom users, having around 233 F-4s.They will probably also be the last to keep the F-4 in their inventory because they are still training air crews for them while other countries have stopped.

This paint scheme was designed and painted by Omer Erkmen. He provided Two Bobs with all of the reference material and paint schematics to do these decals, and also provided any assistance they needed while doing them. This is one of the reasons that Two Bobs decals are among the best in the modeling world. They don't just look at a picture and guess what something is, they get out there with the actual users of these aircraft and really research these designs first hand.

The decals are "proudly printed by MicroScale". They're thin, they're on register, and they go onto the aircraft and stay where you put them. I was a little worried about doing this design because of how big these decals are. You have to put the bird design on the side of the aircraft, which is four separate large decals on each side, while most of the upper wing is covered with a feather wing design. The decals held up very well and worked nicely with Micro Set and Micro Sol. I smoothed them out using a wet, soft Testors paint brush to remove any bubbles or creases. A lot of other decals would start to fall apart when you try to adjust them too much but these hold up very well.

The instructions are very good and they include photographs of the actual aircraft. There is also a very detailed history of the Turkish use of the F-4 This is a plus and this kind of information is standard with all of the Two Bobs decal sets. You can be sure that each aircraft is thoughly researched and all markings are accounted for. Also included is a list of model kits and accessories that are out there.

Very Highly recommended.

I really do enjoy using the Two Bobs decal sheets, not only for the perfect way that they work, but also for all of the history and research that goes into them. I find myself going to the Two Bobs website just to see what decals are coming out next, and if I have the right kit in my stash to do them.

Thanks to IPMS/USA and Two Bobs for letting me use and review these decals.
