Well if you're a fan of WWI aeroplanes then you most likely already know about the Windsock magazine. It's amazing what 32 pages can hold, generally several continuing series, in depth reviews and articles on specific aircraft with multi-view drawings. At times the editor will group articles for a theme issue and in this case it's all about pushers-the airplane that is.

We start with wonderful color photographs on the front and rear covers (as well as on page 1) of Hendon's FE2B (pusher), then George Haddow's guide to WWI Austro-Hungarian Naval Aeroplanes No. 19 – The land based naval fighters. An in depth review of Roden's 1/32 scale DH-2 (pusher) followed by an article on the rare Pemberton-Billing PB.25 pusher with drawings! There are two Fabric articles: Fabric 1 – Nieuport 28 camouflage all laid out and Fabric 2 – Enigmatic undersurface colors of WWI French aeroplanes. Then my favorite section, Modelling Master Class with Lance Krieg, Chapter 2: engines (part1) a wonderful discussion on scale engines and some improvement methods presented. Then closing out the ever popular reviews of kits, books and decals.

I highly recommend this magazine and if you decide that you want a subscription I would go to the website and check it out. If you only want a single issue then they are hard to find. I only know of one place that you can buy one and it's Byrd Aviation Books – www.byrdaviationbooks.com

I want to thank IPMS/USA and Albatros Productions for the chance to review this product.
