Technologies (known for TEFLON pipe tape) sent out an 18” x 26” sheet of his new protection mat. The black silicone
surface goes down to keep the sheet in place and the TEFLON side is the work surface. I put this sheet on the dinning room
table and proceeded to work on a model. Paint, glue, etc dropped on the surface wiped right off. This mat is great. They are also working on a sheet that’s silicone on both sides. It should clean up well, but the best feature is that it has a high coefficient of friction on both sides, so parts and assemblies will stay put and not move as you assemble and paint them. They also have a Plexiglas panel with the TEFLON on one side. The Plexiglas side gives you a hard cutting surface and the TEFLON side allows you easy cleanup of drips and drops. So if you want to protect your work site from drips and spills, this mat is just what you need. Retail price has not been set as of yet.
