MSRP: not available yet This is the final test shot of the forthcoming 1/144 scale C-130 Hercules kit from Minicraft; I built this one up for the company display at the IHobby show in Chicago last weekend. The kit will be released with the option of the original "Roman" nose which will enable to builder to construct the Lockheed prototype, an early C-130A, the prototype gunship, or an AC-130A gunship. Three-bladed Curtiss Electric props and gunship armament are included as well as the gunship's extended left main gear sponson as an optional part to build the AC-130A version. Future releases will include the AC-130H and the Coast Guard C-130, and will include the Hamilton Standard four-bladed props and the optional "beaver tail"; two styles of drop tanks are included on the sprues for different variants. Please note that the decals and serial numbers on this built-up are not what the production kit will have; I added these from my spares box just for the show.
