Master Box LTD has released an outstanding set of German Infantry Figures. They depict some very interesting and dramatic poses that I've never seen before. All four figures each tell a story in their own way. All the figures look like they are in a desperate moment in time pinned against an obstacle in their final moments of retreat or withdrawal.

The Officer looks like he is standing his ground giving orders. You get a choice of two left arm positions to use.

Figure Two is chambering a round, I have never seen this pose before. I like the pants legs … no pants tucked into jackboots.

Figure Three has just been hit. The box art shows him being hit in the upper left front shoulder area. I'm not into wounded or dead guys, but this one would really show the desperation that these figures suggest.

Figure Four … I call him Sarge. It looks as if he just placed a new magazine in his Machine Pistol and is firing as quickly as possible.

All in all very nice figure set. In my opinion, if you compare them with the detail of Dragon/DML figures they are a notch up. The detail on the figures it right up there with the more expensive resin sets. The hands actually fit what they are holding. This is a major gripe that builders of plastic figure sets usually have. Individual equipment and weapons are included, making painting easier.

Building and painting instructions are on the back of the box. No putty was required, and a very faint mold line was all that needed to be removed. All you would need to add are the strapping on the weapons.

If you enjoy building plastic figures that are unique in poses and very detailed I would strongly recommend this set. If you were to combine MB's set MB3523 (Soviet Infantry) and set MB3524 (Hand to Hand fight) united with a general plot you can create a very interesting diorama.

Thanks to IPMS/USA and DragonUSA/Master Box for providing me the opportunity to review and build this set.
