Providing the modeler with a means to add some visual interest to their 1:48 aircraft displays, ICM produces this set of seven Luftwaffe personnel. The set includes two "Blackies", or mechanics, so nick-named for their black coveralls, two guys playing with a dog, the dog, and three Offizer types discussing something Uber-important. Two of them look like they're pilots, and one's a fat staff Offizer. The molding is very crisp, particularly for the scale. All parts have a light molding seam that disappears with the edge of a knife blade or light sanding. They all went together without drama, requiring no filler. There were no sink marks on any of the parts. The assembly diagram (no instructions, really) are color drawings on the back of the box. Color callouts are provided for Model Master paints. These are every bit as nice as Preiser figures in the same scale, and are strongly recommended. Thanks to IPMS/USA and Dragon Models USA for the review sample.
