Over the past year we have seen an influx of 1/48 scale aircraft from WW II. These fine kits just scream to have pilots and ground crew to accompany them. Thankfully Eduard has just produced several sets of figures to stand with these aircraft. This set is of the Luftwaffe as depicted in 1944. The set consists of six figures, each consisting of six or seven parts. One interesting note is that two of the pilots are seated in lawn chairs which are included in this set. Mechanics and ground crew are also included.

There is much fine detail on each figure and even the Iron Cross is depicted. Very nice work is evident in this scale. The figures were cleaned up of slight seam lines in a matter of minutes. They were then primed with automotive light grey primer. This light grey really brings out the fine details and makes it easier to paint.

Vallejo and Andrea acrylics were used to paint the figures and due to their fast drying time, were completer in about 1 ½ hours. The completed figures look just right and complement the 1/48 aircraft nicely. I would highly recommend these to any modeler who builds in 1/48 scale.

I wish to thank Eduard and IPMS/USA for giving me these figures to review.
