With the outpouring of new WW I aircraft kits in 1/48 scale it was only a matter of time that some manufacturer produced figures to accompany these aircraft. I was delighted to see that Eduard was this manufacturer.

As with their fine aircraft kits, these figures are gems. This set is of the pilots, officers and mechanics from 1916. They can accompany any of the aircraft that the French flew in WW I.

[review image] There are six figures in this set and each consists of six or seven pieces. They are cleanly molded and require only a little seam cleanup. It is difficult to imagine the detail that Eduard has put into each figure considering the small scale.

I assembled them in about 1/2 hour and primed them with automotive light grey primer. Once this dried, the details really pop. I used Andrea and Vallejo acrylics to paint the entire figure. Due to the fast drying time, I completed a figure in about 1-1/2 hour. Upon completion, the figures look just right.

I would highly recommend these to any WW I buff to accompany their WW I aircraft. I would like to thank Eduard and IPMS/USA for giving me these figures to review.
