€ 39.95 Euros King Conan comes to us from the talented hands of Jimmy Verbeech at Jiver Miniatures Belgium. The sculpture of Conan is a very good likeness of Arnold Schwarzenegger. After checking the web site I found out that this is a revised version of the King. The head was re-sculpted, and changes were made to the hair, necklace and bottom of the cape. The kit comes in four pieces - main torso, right forearm, right hand and sword. Everything went together with no problems. I left the sword off until after all the painting was completed. The painting was done with acrylic paints. I used Ceramcoat brand paints. The flesh tone colors were airbrushed for a better blending of the skin areas. All the shadows were done with pastels. I like using the pastels because if you make a mistake you can wipe it off and start all over again. Once the shading is done I seal everything with Testers Dullcoat. The rest of the painting was done with base coated colors, then dry-brushed highlights with some washes to finish the piece. Standing in at a just a little over six inches, this 1/12 figure has a lot of detail and I highly recommend it! Check out the web site of Jiver Miniatures for ordering information. | |
