1/32 AH-1G HueyCobra Anti-Strella Exhaust - U.S. Army Vietnam |

MSRP: $12.00 USD Incredibly, Revell/Monogram’s (recently re-released) 1960’s AH-1G HueyCobra in 1/32 is still the only large scale model of the incredible Vietnam era AH-1G. That says volumes for Bell, Revell/Monogram and the model industry. After Tet 1968 and the virtual defeat of the Viet Cong insurgents, the U.S., ARVN and allies fought a North Vietnamese Army equipped with the latest communist weaponry, including man-portable Strella SAMs. Joseph Osborn’s Fireball Anti-Strella Exhaust seven-piece detail and conversion set allows you to easily update your Cobra to a late or post Vietnam AH-1G, just as the U.S. Army did to stop the North’s 1972 peace treaty breaking, attempted invasion of the South! Included are a right-hand tail rotor fin (it cured low-speed instability), the distinctive “toilet bowl” Anti-Strella exhaust deflector, exhaust pipe, intake scoops, exhaust cowl and exhaust cowl deflector plate. The set is cast in exquisitely detailed, scale thin, bubble-free white resin, designed to fit the kit panel lines. I highly recommend this Fireball Modleworks Anti-Strella Exhaust White Resin Conversion set for anyone who wants to easily modify their Revell kit to this later AH-1G. Add a Cobra Co. resin cockpit interior and Fireball decals and you’ve got a unique snake with a heck of a bite. You could probably also update your Hueys with this set, as Cobras were slender Slicks, so to speak. Check out Fireball’s website for this and their excellent line of decals. |
