At last, a beautiful set of markings for the Trumpeter Kit of the Razorback P-47 ! These are done by Eli Raphael and as expected, they are drop dead gorgeous! This set consists of three sheets that include not only the personal markings for two aircraft, but the stenciling and National insignia as well. They are extremely thin, crisply printed in perfect register and include the markings for the following:
  • P-47D-23, "Bonnie" flown by Maj. Bill Dunham, C.O. of the 460th F.S./348th F.G. based in Leyte Philippines in December '44. It is a natural metal bird with lots of kill markings and makes up into a very attractive bird.
  • P-47D-2, "Miss Mutt". The Pride of Lodi Ohio flown by Lt. Col. Dick Rowland, C.O. of the 248th F.G. based in Port Moresby, New Guinea in November of '43. This is an olive drab over neutral grey bird with white trim and is also an attractive choice.

A point of interest with Zotz decals…they are not bound by the same constraints with inks as U.S. producers and as a consequence, the opacity of the lighter colors is, significantly better. If you haven't tried Zotz decals, you should.

Most highly recommended.
