[review image] Having been a Colorado resident for over 30 years, I was excited to see the latest TwoBobs Colorado Air National Guard F-16C release. This Air Guard unit, the 140th Wing, has a very rich heritage, having been the official ANG demo team starting back in 1956 and also having won the Air Force "Gunsmoke" competition in 1981 against regular, full-time Air Force units while flying the A-7D. The Minute Men history is nicely outlined on one side of the instruction sheet and contained some information that was new to me.

The kit options listed on the sheet include Hasegawa, Italeri and also Revell (I'm guessing these will also fit the newly announced Tamiya F-16 as well). Also noted are just a few of the aftermarket items also available. The kit required will be a "big mouth" Block 30 aircraft.

[review image] This incarnation of the F-16 will be a standout with the base color of silver lacquer with the red accents. This is the same color scheme seen on the F-80's and F-86's that the Minute Men flew during their stint as the official ANG demo team. There are 3 sheets with decals and the 2-sided instruction sheet:

I have been sitting on a partially built Hasegawa F-16C for the last few years, just waiting for a good scheme and set of markings to make it a little different than the usual gray-on-gray birds. Looks like this one will be moving rapidly to the front of the build pile! I've already lined up a big mouth intake and am just awaiting its arrival to get busy.

I'm really looking forward to getting these decals onto the kit and will post a follow-up article soon showing the application and final product. A BIG "Thanks" goes out to TwoBobs and IPMS USA for the review sample.
