TMOTA, or Tiger Meet of the Americas, is a spin off from the international Tiger Meet competition where participating NATO air forces gather to fly training missions and enter into friendly unit competition. A few years ago, 2001 to be exact, TMOTA was started, with the first event taking place at Buckley ANG base in Colorado. Many of the aircraft attending this meet (and the original Tiger Meet) will sport very flamboyant paint jobs with the theme being, yes, you guessed it, Tigers. The Colorado ANG unit, 140th WG/120th FS, has won the competition for the best paint scheme on several occasions with the markings in this decal set being one of those winning schemes, specifically from the 2005 TMOTA.

Two Bobs has been very good at making these unusual, but highly attractive (IMHO) schemes available to scale modelers. Often these schemes will require some very special masking and painting of non-standard colors, but this set covers everything with the decals provided.

The set contains 2 sheets, one standard size and one smaller, along with color instructions (double sided, single sheet) that also have some very nice shots of the actual aircraft.

Included on the 2 decal sheets are 6 individual pieces (3 for each side) that will take up the entire vertical stabilizer. The base decal is a white background followed by the orange/yellow decals and finally the black Tiger face. The fuselage stabilizers are also 3 parts per side, in a similar sequence. The set also appears to have all of the major stenciling and standard unit markings. The set is noted to be sized for the Hasegawa family of kits, so check carefully if you're wanting to apply them to any other kit manufacturers F-16.

My experience with TwoBobs decals has been nothing but outstanding (recently used the 1/72 F-22 Raptor sheet with great results). They go on well and conform with little or no solvent required. Overall, another great set of non-standard gray-on-gray markings from TwoBobs that will make your Falcon a definite standout!

A big "Thanks" goes out to TwoBobs and IPMS USA for this highly recommended review sample.
